#1: CONTROLLER-HOU (NW: 249/BELT): $130-$160K+ + BONUS/BENEFITS

Our Client (or “the Company”) is 1 of 2 Business Units of an established group or private equity backed niche international project-based ENERGY SERVICES providers repositioning for growth with a fresh round of private equity commitments with the Parent Company HQ in another country. The Company operates from Houston HQ with a 15-person F&A Team in HQ currently via Field Offices located throughout the world in oil & gas producing areas, and mostly in North America currently.

POSITION DUTIES:

Reporting to the Business Unit CFO (“CFO”) in Houston HQ, a fellow Public Accounting Alum, and sharp, forward-looking International Energy Services Finance Veteran with almost 25 years of experience (mostly in industry as a CFO/Controller) who joined the Company in 2015, the CONTROLLER-BUSINESS UNIT duties are as follows

–        OVERALL – Support the CFO in delivering the Company’s financial statements and related support to the Parent Company while providing overall financial management, financial reporting, and compliance to ensure accuracy & integrity of the Company’s Financial Information & Systems.

–        MONTHLY CLOSE/FINANCIAL ANALYSIS & REPORTING – Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet account reconciliations. Lead the Month End Financial Reporting explaining key variances vs. forecast, budget and prior year across the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow & KPIs. Provide monthly profitability reviews to understand key drivers of actual and expected project margin variances, identify and action as appropriate. Drive key financial & business initiatives to evaluate & advise on areas of risk/opportunity

–        MONTHLY FORECASTING & ANNUAL BUDGETING – Lead and own the weekly cashflow forecasting process. Present the latest monthly forecast (P&L, CAPEX & WC). Prepare & Present the Annual Budget.

–        GENERAL ACCOUNTING/TAX/TREASURY MATTERS – Develop & implement actions to drive efficiency in overall working capital. Evaluate CAPEX proposals through preparation of financial business cases. Develop & maintain processes to keep up to date & accurate Standard Cost across materials, labor, and equipment. Manage the Resource & Equipment utilization & overall cost control. Coordinate accounting, treasury & tax matters on an ad hoc basis.

–        SALES TEAM SUPPORT – Provide guidance to sales team with respect to bidding complex/unusual contracts.

–        STATUTORY COMPLIANCE – Main point of contact for all compliance issues for the Company.

–        EXTERNAL AUDIT – Planning, management & execution of the annual external audit.

–        MANAGERIAL & SUPERVISORY – Develop a high performing F&A Team through building, leading and developing/mentoring the F&A Team and create a succession plan as appropriate.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

–        BASE SALARY (ANNUALIZED) in the $130,000 to $160,000+ range, commensurate with Qualifications below

–        BONUS AWARDS: 25% Target most likely under New Bonus Plan, paid annually

QUALIFICATIONS:

–        CPA or CMA et al + POC Project Accounting Controller & FPA Experience
